Maintaining optimum energy levels and a balanced state, makes the body better equipped to fight off any imbalances and to heal from any injuries it may sustain.

A daily practice

A health maintenance routine is a great way to keeping good health.

In this section an Acupressure routine is addressed... clearly we need to incorporate other aspects into out daily routine as well:

A Healthy Diet and Physical Exercise are fundamental.

It is important to keep in mind, that we can change our habits and routines... but not all at once.

Step-by-step... letting a new routine 'sink in'... getting rid of one bad habit at a time.

Acupressure Routine

This routine requires about 20 minutes. It focuses on stimulating and regulating Qi flow and establishes harmony throughout the body.

Start with a few deep breaths - fill the belly and lungs deeply with air... and let it all out...

Stand up and take your arms over your head while breathing in and stretch backwards as far as comfortable.

Exhale as you bend forward, stretching your arms to the floor. 

Inhale as you stand back up. Bring your arms over your head and lean to the side, exhaling as you lean. Breathe in as you straighten up, and repeat on the other side.

Repeat the whole sequence 3 times...

After this warm up, you're ready to begin the pressure-point routine.

  • Hold each point on both sides at the same time for 2 to 3 minutes - ST36, LR3 and SP4

  • Starting with either arm, press each point one at a time, pulsing the pressure on each for about 30 seconds. Repeat several times - PC6TW5 and LI4

  • Hold each point for 2 to 3 minutes - LU1 and GB21

  • Finish the treatment by lying quietly and relaxing.
